From our farm in West Sussex, we now offer kitchen-ready Horseradish Roots in packages of 250, 500, and 1000 grams.
We are not registered as an organic farm (as the accreditation is costly), but no herbicides, pesticides nor insecticides have been used since we took over the farm in 2007, so we think we can guarantee that our horseradish beds have grown in the best possible soil.
We also sell horseradish root cuttings for replanting (these are called thongs), and have over the last 10 years sold circa 15.000 roots to home-growers.
Freshly grated horseradish is a must-have (in our opinion) on top of roast beef, in a white sauce with salmon, shellfish, with cooked salt beef, in a Bloody Mary, and in hundreds of other exciting applications.
250 grams is enough for a lot of experiments.
These roots are totally fresh so can be replanted, and will grow to even thicker and longer roots.
Photo is of roots straight in from the farm, and NOT cleaned at all.
